Thinking beyond 2D surface material to create illustration.

Below are examples of Illustrators working with less conventional
surfaces to create narratives; what is interesting is how the context
can influence the message:

Firstly is Stephanie Hollick who is an ex Hallam student. The project 
was about studying how we now perceive the term Britishness. 



Next is British Illustrator Laura Carlin who has recently released a selection 
of ceramics work on her blog. These are excellent bodies of work and really
consider the form on which she is directly working as a method to illustrate
a narrative.
