V&A Illustration Awards



Details for this years V&A illustration awards has now been released - this is one of the best Illustration awards  and should be seriously considered by all level 6 illustration students. Previous professional winners have included Olivier Kugler, Mathew Richardson and Laura Carlin - Our own Mr Frazer Hudson was given the esteemed honour of judging the Student category last year and was greatly impressed with the standard of work submitted. Last years student winner was Hannah Simpson, Hannah is currently studying at Kingston university.


V&A Illustration Awards 2012

Entry into the Awards is free

The V&A Illustration Awards celebrate the best illustration published over the last year. Original artwork from the best illustrated book, book cover, editorial illustration and student illustrator of the year will be recognised.
There are three published categories
The winner in each category will receive £2,000 and a trophy and the judges will select an overall winner of the V&A Illustration Awards who will receive an additional £2,000.
There is one student category.
The Student Illustrator of the Year will receive £2,000 and a trophy. The runner up will receive £1,000.

Folio Society Illustration competition 2011



The folio society Illustration competition is now open - this is an excellent Illustration competition that inspires both student and professional submissions. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 10th January 2012.

Anyone thinking about projects for Grad 1 this could be good choice.
